My name is Brett Leyshon and I am now a proud home owner. I would like to let you know how much Narelle Grieve has us when we were purchasing our first home.

After months of searching online and through inspections we were immediately interested when we first sighted our new home, but we had a problem. It was about 4:30 on the Friday afternoon before Labour Day long weekend. We couldn’t bear to wait the long weekend to see inside after everything felt so right from our external inspection. This is where the exceptional service began. Narelle arranged for us to have a look inside at about 6pm that afternoon, because she convinced the current tenant to let us have a look. It was great to find someone who was willing to work back – on Friday of all days, because she understood how much we wanted to see this place.

We knew it was the one as soon as we saw inside.

We made an offer and it was accepted, and by 8pm that Friday night we were celebrating. The following Tuesday I met with Narelle and she recommended solicitors, pest & building inspectors, and arranged all of the finer details that I, as a first home buyer, was unexperienced in. The process initially seemed so complicated, but Narelle made it all so easy for us because she did everything except organise the bank loan.

Throughout the next 30 days Narelle stayed in contact with us to keep us updated on everything and to ensure we knew exactly what stage everything was at. I always felt at ease talking with Narelle because she explained everything in detail, and I was confident that she was looking after our best interests.

In the final few days of settlement we had a major problem – the tenant in place who was supposed to have moved out weeks earlier was still in our new home. The tenant had apparently been having difficulty organising a new place to live and removalists to do the job. It looked certain that our settlement date would pass with the tenant still there – but I had underestimated Narelle.

On the weekend before settlement Narelle, in her own time, helped the tenant pack into boxes, organised a removalist, and helped clean the place herself. On Sunday afternoon Narelle called me to let me know that tomorrow our new home would be ready for our pre-settlement inspection, as planned, fully cleaned and ready to go.

We were understandably over the moon, as we had expected the settlement date to be delayed, and it was all because Narelle understood our situation and did everything she could to help us. I work with many people in business at many levels, but the service that Narelle provided us was second to none. I could not have in my wildest dreams imagined that she would have gone as far as she did to ensure that we had our dream home.
